Over the last 6 years I’ve been in production with my short film – an abstract documentary, Manifest. It began as this thing on my heart that said ‘I want to tell others that they can get through it, that bad stuff can turn into good, that it won’t always be as dark as it seems now.’ I wanted to share that even though there were many times I contemplated ending my own life and had struggled through trauma, abuse and years of homelessness – that there was rescue, there was hope, that I’m glad I didn’t give in.
We share our stories to tell others that if we got through it, faced it, overcame it – then there’s hope for them too. That’s what The Manifest Project is all about.
I’d love to hear from you. What’s your story? I’m looking for stories of bad stuff turning into good. Stories of freedom, transformation, hope and beauty. Send them my way. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, I want to do something special with them. Big or small, anonymous or however you’d like to tell me the story, please share it, you never know who it may help.
